Important information about your holiday

Dear Guest

We want to ensure that you have a great holiday and make the most of your time in the Derbyshire Peak District.  To ensure this happens, we would like to provide you with some information to help you plan your holiday and let you know what to expect when you arrive.

What to expect at Landal Sandybrook

We are a family business that aims to ‘delight every guest so they wish to return’ and we therefore want to provide you with a clear picture of what you can expect when you arrive on holiday in order to give you the best opportunity to plan and have a great stay with us.

Even after restrictions are lifted on the 19thJuly we will continue to operate some of our facilities and activities with social distancing in place. We want all of our customers and staff to feel safe and we will therefore remove social distancing measures cautiously with a phased approach. Although masks will no longer be mandatory, we will encourage staff and guests to socially distance, wear masks and be respectful of others.

We have also found that some of the operating procedures that we put in place due to Covid have worked really well and the feedback from guests who have stayed and used them has been very positive. We will therefore continue to operate pre-booking systems for swimming and private instructor led activities until further notice.

Covid will still impact our business.

You are likely to be aware that there is presently a nationwide shortage of hospitality staff and this is having a big impact on the tourism and hospitality industry.  It is therefore with deep regret that we have recently had to close the Coach House bar & restaurant due to staff shortages. We will continue to try and recruit more kitchen staff but at present we do not anticipate to reopen before April 2022. Please visit our website for the latest information.

Please be assured that we will do everything within our control to keep our facilities operating but the opening hours and what we can provide may be required to change at very short notice due to staff being required to isolate. We will contact guests as soon as possible if such situations arise but please be aware that sometimes things can change whilst you are on holiday.

We will continue to update the website as frequently as possible and the latest information about what facilities and activities are available can be found here.

Booking in Advance

To ensure that you make the most of your holiday we would urge you to plan and book in advance.

Activities

You can pre-book Go Active sessions such as Archery, Crossbow etc up to 2 months in advance whilst information about how to book the swimming pool will be sent to you 9 days prior to your arrival with online bookings opening 7 days in advance.
We will endeavour to add more sessions as they fill up, so please keep checking the website as your holiday approaches or join the waiting list. You can book activities here.

Eating Out

Unfortunately, our onsite restaurant is currently closed due to the staff shortages but will reopen as soon as we have successfully recruited a new kitchen team.  We would therefore recommend that you plan where you would like to eat out during your holiday and pre book restaurants in the local area.

We are fortunate that many takeaways in the area deliver to the park. Details can be found on the website FAQs and we will also provide this information at check-in.

Day’s Out
There is a vast array of local attractions in the Derbyshire Peak District but most require you to pre-book. Some of the more popular attractions may be fully booked if you do not book in advance.  Further information about places to visit and days out can be found here

If you plan to go walking or cycling in the local area, it is important to plan your route, park responsibly and follow the Countryside Code. Details of walks and cycling routes both onsite and in the local area can be found here.

Plan in Advance

We sincerely hope that the above information is useful and that by planning in advance you can make the most of your time in the Derbyshire Peak District. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Reception on 01629 732428 or visit www.sandybrook.co.uk
