Our Fun, Family Friendly
With superb facilities, we have created the perfect setting for you and your family to enjoy an amazing holiday where you can choose to do as much or as little as you please. The indoor swimming pool is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the Derbyshire Peak District. There is a range of activities to enjoy onsite although some of these are restricted or closed due to Government guidelines.
Our indoor swimming pool is open from 9am until 7pm. The pool is complimentary for park guests to use. The pool is family friendly and has a separate toddler area. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult to use the pool.
For when you want to take time out to relax, there is a spa pool and a sauna that guests aged 16 years and older can enjoy. In the warmer months there is also a secluded decking area for guests to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
You are required to pre-book a session at the swimming pool. Details will be sent via email 7 days prior to arrival.
Play Area & Recreation Field
We have a large recreation area that is the perfect place for guests to enjoy a game of football or play rounders or frisbee. There is also an area with an all-weather surface where ball games can be enjoyed. This area is also used for organised activities that you might enjoy.
The playground is a fantastic place to spend some time with the children.
There is an array of climbing frames, slides and a swing to enjoy so you can easily spend an hour letting the children burn off some energy.
The woodland walk meanders behind the back of the lodges and in the spring time is filled with a magnificent display of bluebells. This short walk is accessed via the historic Pinetum that is home to a number of unique trees.
Within the Pinetum you will find a Giant Sequoia, Californian Redwood, Monkey Puzzle, Evergreen Oak, Dawn Redwood and an English Yew. The ancient trees tower over you and are a magnificent sight.
With the Woodland Walk you will also find our Landoor, which is great for photos, a bug hotel and a wooden game of noughts and crosses.
The games room is currently closed but is located above the Coach House bar & restaurant but does have a separate entrance. The games room is perfect for older children to enjoy some independence or for the whole family to enjoy some indoor fun together.
Inside the games room you will find:
- Two Pool tables. These cost £1 per game
- One Air Hockey Table. This costs 50p per game
- One Table Football. This costs 50p per game.
Toddler Play Room
The Toddler Play Room is currently closed and is located within a converted lodge and is perfect for entertaining small children.
The lodge includes many toys that are commonly found at home and therefore provides a comforting environment for small children and enables parents to entertain younger children, especially on wet weather days.
Inside you will find some ride on toys, a slide, den, play mat, toy cars, books and a toy kitchen.
