Ashbourne Royal Shrovetide Football is a game played in the Derbyshire town of Ashbourne on Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. Unlike a conventional football match the game is played over two eight hour periods with goals are 3 miles apart!

Wirksworth - Duffield
The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is a 9-mile long picturesque heritage railway in Derbyshire. The services operate in both directions between Wirksworth and Duffield and are open most weekends and other dates throughout the year. Open at weekends throughout the year and selected dates. There are two Clay Pigeon schools that we can recommend, one close to Darwin Forest and one close to Sandybrook Country Park. Please ask for details and make sure you book in advance.
Take a walk around the stunning Chatsworth Estate. The House aand Gardens reopen at Easter but you can still view the House from the grounds and visit the famous farm shop.
